Description
What is Launchy?

"Launchy is a free utility application designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager. It indexes your files and applications, and allows you to launch any program or file with just a few keystrokes."
Just press Alt+Space and type "fir" and then Enter, and Firefox will launch. After using it a couple of times, you can enter only "f", press Enter, and Firefox will start.
What is jLaunchy?
jLaunchy is the short name for the Jacobs plugin for Launchy. This allows Jacobs University students, faculty and staff to share bookmarks and have quick access to Jacobs' sites like LDAP search or Student Pix.
For example, type "JU", press Tab, and you see a list of all Jacobs University links. Choose "ldap" from that list, press Tab, type "calin", and press Enter. This will search for people named Calin in the LDAP database.
There is also a shorter form, where you only type "ldap", Tab, "calin" and Enter, and you get the same result!
It is very useful and addictive
. Try it out!
Installation

Please download and install our modified Launchy installation file (containing the Jacobs Plugin). When you open the Options panel, the Jacobs-Plugin should be already loaded.
