A security issue in Android operating systems has been identified that is relevant for eduroam configuration.
If you are using an Android phone or tablet and the eduroam WiFi network, please follow the instructions at https://www.dfn-cert.de/informationen/Konfiguration-CA-Zertifikat-eduroam.html on how to update your eduroam configuration and to protect your password. Though the page is in German, the pictures make the procedure obvious nevertheless.
Please also note, if you have any other WiFi network configured that uses 802.1X-based authentication, ALL of them must make use of a CA-certificate to be safe from the issue.
Other devices than those based on Android are not affected. This is purely an issue of Android operating system, not of any other platform, nor of eduroam itself.
Details of the security issue are available here: https://www.dfn-cert.de/aktuell/Google-Android-Eduroam-Zugangsdaten.html (in German)
