As of October 2008, the
- seven members of IRC-IT (incl. CTO) care for
- ~1,200 client computers in Jacobs University's data network,
- 20 Windows server, 30 Linux servers, 7 Solaris servers,
- some more hosted of CLAMV, including four compute clusters (sum. 272 CPUs) and one SMP computer (24 CPUs),
- several more servers hosted for various research groups,
- one teaching lab,
- three telephone hubs,
- 1,621 phones with voice boxes, fax, and computer telephony integration,
- 70 mobile phones and Internet access devices,
- 94 manageable workgroup switches with 4018 ports, thereof 3,288 connected,
- 65 WLAN access points,
- one central network switch,
- one VPN concentrator.
